Many celebrities have professional beauty teams at their disposal, with hair and makeup stylists ready and waiting to prepare pretty faces for the red carpet. But even so, some stars manage to make a major makeup mistake now and then. Here are some of the funniest celebrity makeup mishaps, intentional and not.

Nicole Kidman
Actress Nicole Kidman probably thought she’d give herself a last minute touch up just before she headed out before the cameras at the New York premiere of Nine in December 2009. Unfortunately, she left behind some dusty residue, which didn’t escape the throngs of photographers eager to get an unflattering shot. Celebrity Makeup Mishaps Pics.
Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera likes to go all out with her makeup at all times. While we agree the lady looks beautiful in bright red lipstick, she could afford to tone the rest of her look now and then. But at least she’s laid off the fake tanner.
Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper had either a foundation foul or a flop with fake tanner before the premiere of the megaromcom Valentine’s Day. He smiled for the cameras with noticeable blotches of orange just around his facial hairline.
Blake Lively
Actress Blake Lively was nearly picture perfect in a Victoria Beckham Collection dress at a 2009 gala, but she (or her makeup artist) made the mistake of trying to cover a few imperfections on her chest with the same concealer she used on her face. It made for a very blotchy look.
Courtney Love
Courtney Love is going through a Miss Havisham moment, which means she’s doing a lot of inventive things with her cosmetics…including unleashing Rainbow Brite upon her face. It’s not always a good look.
Hugh Grant
Much like Nicole Kidman, actor Hugh Grant also had a run-in with face powder on the red carpet. He ended up with a little too much dust on his nose at a Paris photocall for Did You Hear About the Morgans? Chances are high that he did it as a joke.
Nicole Richie
Before she was the queen of boho glam, Nicole Richie was wearing multi-colored hair extensions and painting her face various shades of pink and purple. We think she looks much better without all the face paint.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson slathered on a bit too much black eyeliner for a press conference back in 2008. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal, had her eyebrows not been invisible.
Lily Allen
Like her Twitter nemesis Courtney Love, singer Lily Allen has an inventive approach to making herself up. She highlighted her eyes in silver eyeshadow for an evening out at Nobu Berkeley.
Catherine Zeta Jones
Perhaps Catherine Zeta Jones was merely attempting to match the color in her face to the color in her dress when she smattered her cheeks, nose, and forehead in bronzer.
Shenae Grimes
Shenae Grimes is a beautiful young woman. There was no need for her makeup artist to cake on all that color! A word of advice: if you’re planning to do ultra-dramatic eye makeup, consider going easy on the rest of the cosmetics.
Mischa Barton
Had Mischa Barton blended her eyeliner around the eyes just a bit, this might not have looked quite so harsh. She may have been going for a ’60s look with that barely-there lipstick, but it all photographed garishly.
Leighton Meester
It’s okay, Leighton Meester – it happens to the best of us.
Rachel Weisz
Rachel Weisz’s makeup artist was probably going for a romantic gothic look when she painted the actress for the 2009 Met Costume Institute Gala. Unfortunately, she just looked like a close-to-death Helena Bonham Carter.
Ke$ha
Ke$ha is trying really hard to convince us she’s the cheaper, rattier, mall store version of Lady Gaga, in that she doesn’t wear pants, doesn’t brush her hair (or maybe she does…with Scotch), and probably applies her makeup while drunk. That has to be it, right?
